TEA recognizes that Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) are essential for the 21st century and believes that every Pakistani girl should have access to quality STEAM education.
To achieve this goal, TEA provides training to teachers and school administrators on modern teaching methodologies, especially in STEAM. TEA’s Champions for Change network also promotes STEAM education by organizing STEAM-related activities such as robotics, coding, and STEM camps.
TEA’s focus on STEAM education is especially important because Pakistan lags behind in this area, and girls face additional challenges in accessing STEAM education due to cultural and societal barriers. By providing girls with the necessary skills and knowledge, TEA is empowering them to pursue secure and fulfilling careers and play a leading role in social transformation.

Youth STEAM Learning Festivals
The Thar Education Alliance is thrilled to take you back to the captivating journey of the Youth STEAM Learning Festival 2024. Held in collaboration with the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, the Reform Support Unit, and generously funded by UNICEF, Pakistan, this festival was a monumental celebration of innovation, learning, and community.

- 127 Participating Schools: Together, we witnessed the enthusiasm and dedication of 127 schools that wholeheartedly embraced the spirit of STEAM education.
- Impressive Student Turnout: With a staggering attendance of 63,693 students, the festival became a vibrant hub of learning and exploration, inspiring young minds to pursue their passions in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
- 650 Inspiring Models: From intricate engineering marvels to awe-inspiring artistic creations, the festival showcased 650 remarkable models, each reflecting the ingenuity and creativity of its creator.
- Dynamic Panel Discussions: Throughout the festival, 26 engaging panel discussions brought together experts, educators, and enthusiasts to delve into the complexities and opportunities within the realm of STEAM education, sparking insightful conversations and driving positive change.
- Dedicated Stalls for Out-of-School Children: In our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, we established four dedicated stalls focused on addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by out-of-school children, offering innovative solutions and pathways to education.
- Heartfelt Volunteer Contributions: Behind the scenes, 260 dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the seamless execution and success of the event, embodying the spirit of teamwork and community.
