Thar Education Alliance, with the support of Malala Fund, is implementing a transformative project aimed at promoting gender equity in education financing across six of Sindh’s most marginalized and underfunded districts. These include Tharparkar, Badin, Sanghar, Sukkur, Larkana, and Karachi Malir. This initiative focuses on strengthening community-led advocacy to ensure that girls receive their fair share of educational resources and opportunities. A key milestone of the project has been the successful establishment of the Coalition for Girls’ Education Financing (CGEF) in each of the six districts. These coalitions bring together members of School Management Committees (SMCs), parents, and young girls—creating a powerful, representative platform for dialogue, advocacy, and action. CGEFs are envisioned as the primary drivers of change, leading efforts to influence policy and budget allocations for girls' education at both district and provincial levels. With the coalitions now fully operational in all six target districts, the project has laid a strong foundation for inclusive, grassroots-led efforts to advance educational justice for girls in Sindh.
