Thar Education Alliance (TEA), in collaboration with the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), has launched three Non-Formal Education centers under the Adolescent and Adult Learning and Training Program (AALTP) in District Tharparkar and Umerkot. This initiative is designed to address the growing challenge of Out-of-School Children (OOSC), specifically targeting children aged between 9 to 16 years who have either never attended school or have dropped out before completing their education. The primary goal of the AALTP is to provide these children with a second chance at education through flexible, learner-centered approaches. These centers offer foundational literacy and numeracy skills along with life skills and basic vocational training, helping to equip learners with the tools they need for both personal and professional development. Currently, a total of 336 out-of-school children have been enrolled across the three centers, reflecting a strong community response and growing awareness about the importance of education. Through this program, TEA continues to advance its mission of promoting inclusive, quality education for all, leaving no child behind.
